Rebels for staying put?
So it's been a day after the big storm...and we have had time to reflect.
Were we rebels for going against evacuation orders? Or were we just being New Yorkers? I think the latter holds true. The NY spirit is is all about doing what most people say cannot be done. Think about it...most people in this great city have come from all over the world, fighting against all odds to pursue a better life.
It's ingrained in the psyche to not listen to the masses. In this city, failure = opportunity. half empty = half full.
Go big or go home. We did both.

This building completely emptied out
Completely bagged and taped up. Luckily no damage in the aftermath.
Strong Winds
Interestingly enough, the winds got stronger post hurricane than during the actual hurricane. I'm talking about 3 hours after storm passing! Can someone explain it?
